the skyrim universe would also invlude the rest of the elder scroll's games, and, while it's not quite as large as say, Warhammer 40k, it's still very large. I feel like it would take too long to explain everything that would be needed for someone to rp properly.

I would say yes, but as Garth pointed out, the universe is very large.

For Example, Which Province would it be set in? It's impractical to have One person in Skyrim and have another in the Black Marsh.

What time period is it in? Before or After the Oblivion Crisis? Before or after Skyrim's Civil War? Etc.

Depending on the time period, How would Daedric Artifacts be handled? (Come on, We know everyone will want them...)

Skyrim RP = Skyrim only

The Elder scrolls universe is really easy to know, if you've played the games. If you haven't, you're up a creek with out a paddle.

Daedric stuff would be OP. And clearly nobody would be able to craft it, as shown by just playing Skyrim. (OTHER THAN DOVAHKIIN)

I'd totally be up for an Elder Scrolls RP, but I've only played Oblivion. If theres anything I need to know that isnt covered in that game, I'd have to research.

That's what I would like, and then like, if someone REALLY wanted to, a Skyrim RP could be a subset or something.

Well, I believe an Elder Scrolls Rp would have to stick to known grounds, on the basis that the majority of us have only played Oblivion/Skyrim, but that wouldn't necesarilly 'trap' the rp. Just set in a time line related to those games.

My thoughts, is all.

If the RP was related to the game, it could cause a lot of Canon to be broken, like the Dragonborn, if it were during Skyrim's Timeline, He'd get mentioned.

I'd suggest having it after the games we have now, and then we have as few canon restrictions as possible.

For it to be after the Games we have now, then we have no idea what would be happening. For example, it would have to be set a good distance of time away, as Dragonborn, the Hero of Kvatch, whoever would be mentioned for quite a long time after the game they featured in finished.

I agree. We should drop kick the timeline of the RP a bitch further.
So either some time during the fourth era, after the 3rd Century (4E 201) Which is the Dragon Crisis.
So maybe the Fourth Era, 4th or 5th maybe even 6th Century (4E 301, 401 or 501)
