Hybrids?

HYBRIDS/WEREPYRES

Werepyres were made by a scientific team, trying to create a cure for lycanthropy and vampirism (Aided by willing Werewolves and Vampires.)

They were a scientific accident, created when Vampire and Werewolf blood was mixed together, as their bites are usually fatal to the other race.
It was thought that the mixing blood would null these effects, erasing the diseases.

When the first test subject, Subject 00, drank it, she lost control, going insane. She ripped a member of the science teams throat out, with her teeth,
before turning into a Giant wolf, killing three of the infected volenteers.

She ravaged the country, killing humans as she rampaged in both human and wolf form. Several survived her attacks, but many died due to the infection. Some, however, survived, becoming Werepyres or Hybrids.

Most Hybrids died when the Nightbane learned of this experiment, sending only their best to hunt them down.
Werepyres suffered the same fate.

DIFFERENCES

Werepyre is the term given to a Hybrid with no control, basically a permanant Primal or Cursed.
Hybrid is one who can control themselves, many choose to live in complete seclusion, while others actively hunt humans or those that do.



They have the strengths of both races, they can turn into a giant wolf, although a much smaller one than their Werewolf brothers.
They are much faster and stronger than humans in their human form, however not as much as vampires.
They are hard to kill, like vampires, but have weakness to silver in both forms.
They must also have a daily intake of blood or they will be severely weakened.
