Dawn cried a bit more, but kept her words to herself. it would be worse if she retaliated, so she had to focus on making it the least painful as possible.

=it took me the better part of two hours to get to my friend's house, but I finally did get there, soaked to the bone and just kinda weary. Not from walking that far, but just everything that had happened. Anyway he let me in=

Hey, nice place Frank. We should I stand to let the robotic arms search me?

"Haha, very funny. Hold on while I lock my door."

=he closed the door behind me as I chuckled. I heard a sliding bolt, another sliding bolt, and I think a rotating wheel lock. I said he was a bit nuts on home security, right?=

"Hey, so, how ya been? And why are you so geared up?"

=he just gave me a look that said "You really have to ask?"=
Alright, alright. Found out my fiance was in town, and I wanted to go have a talk.

"Oh shit? Well, you lived, so do I have to worry about the police showing up?"

=Two hours had passed, and I look upon my work satisfied, a dark and macabre smile on my face.=

=I looked at what I had done in the past two hours: I had cut her across her body on both sides, I then made a cut across her back, scraping her spine in the process. The screams had been glorious. Not to mention the scar that formed on her neck from a slow slash, being careful to miss her windpipe. I had relished the screams. Anton, in the mean time, had looked on in near horror=

Dawn was limp on the table, unable to even look around. She had lost so much blood, she was surprised she had still bled. The sadistic man was surveying his handiwork on her, the bastard.

Dawn couldn't believe she was awake, to be honest.
Guess her getting ready for Nick had been put to good use.

=Anton looks at me, putting a hand on my shoulder. He shakes his head, knowing my blood was up. I brushed him off=

"You...monster." Dawn managed. She coughed a bit. "You've done this...to me...what more...do you want?"

=I look at her, my mouth had a leering smile=

Dawn's eyes widened in fear.
"What are you doing?!" she demanded.

=Anton looks at me, and I ignore his silent pleas. I had one thing on my mind=

I said you would suffer, and you are...

Dawn was frozen.
"Please don't let him. Don't let him do this to me." She begged. "Please. Haven't you done enough to me!?"

=Anton hangs back, knowing that I was far beyond intervention=

Dawn finally starts to tremble.
"No, no, NO! I told you want you wanted, you already have cut me up worse then an onion. Can't you let me go?!"

=I look at her, shaking my head=

The phone rang. Dawn was again frozen, the prospect of being raped increasing by the moment.
Please let that be Nick...
Praying it was the Primal who was going to kill her.

=I stop and pause, picking up the phone=

Hello, Dimitri Sarovich speaking...

" I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long life. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let the Nightbane go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you."

Ari waited for a response.

He hung up.


A second later, the phone rang again.

(Sarcastic) Oh, I'm shaking in my boots.

=I hear him hang up, and the phone rings again=

=i plopped down at the entrance to an alleyway, just kinda sheltering myself as much as I can with the side of the building. I just laid out, putting my head down on my crossed paws and thought, watching people hurry around, umbrellas up and coats pulled tight. I gave it some thought to actually forgiving Seln. Then I'd wonder about Damire, but I still gave it serious thought. Was it actually possible to forgive Seln for his crime? I gue-no. No. I can't, I swore on my lines! I couldn't just forgive him like that! I swore! But...could...wait, I swore I would see him dead. That...can still happen...I could kill him in a few hundred years, right? When he was ready to die? C...could I do that? I...I don't know...=

"By now you will hear the rotors of no less then five Sikorsky UH-60 Blackhawk Gunships armed with silver incidenary explosives and high-powered napalm missiles. There are no less then ten snipers ready to incapacitate you, your friend, as well as free the Nightbane on the table. By the time you are able to get up, she will be outside and in a waiting SUV. From there, you will have five seconds to pray to whatever heathen god or gods you believe in before those choppers and a pair of F-35 Joint Strike Fighters, or Lightning IIs, from the USS Abraham Lincoln, supplanted by four F-14D Super Tomcats drop over four thousand pounds of Napalm on the building you are in and burn you, your friend, and every single bit of supernatural flesh to naught but ash. You and ten seconds to untie her, give her back all her belongings, and have your friend take her downstairs and outside to the black Chevrolet Avalanche, before you become very dead Vampires. Your time starts now."

(Dimitri)

=I pale and nod=

(In Slavic) Anton, untie our guest and take her downstairs. Do you have her gear?

=Anton nods, purely out of shock. He then gives her back her gear=

(In Slavic) Take her downstairs and out of my sight.

=Anton unties her and helps her downstairs=

(Aside) Anton: Come...let's get you out of here.

I've agreed to your terms. She's coming down to you.

=I rub my chin=

"Good."
The phonecall ends. Then ten shots, each from a different direction, break windows, break objects.
Five Blackhawks decend to the windows.
The sound of the jets roars overhead.

No, the man was not joking.


Dawn leaned on Anton clutching her jacket to her chest for some form of modesty.
"Thank you. For not joining the...the last things." She said, strained.

(Anton)

=I look to her and give a thin smile=

I've known Dimitri's behavior to be bad. But what happened...was...extreme. I wanted no part of it.

=I keep heading down the stairs=
