Nightfall: Chapter 3

Dawn giggled a bit as she felt Sofie'hands hands hook into her jeans.

--A few hours later--

Dawn was fast asleep, her body still damp from sweat. She was curled up lazily, ber breathing deep and irregular.

--A few hours later--

=I was in the bed, fast asleep, sweat coming off my body like a heavy rain=

That...was...fantastic...

=I still feel my heart beating rapidly, my mind a rush of emotions as I briefly look to Dawn, a smile on my face=

=I had, in the passage of time, escorted Alex back to Seln's residence, and left to go claim what was left of Dimitri's apartment=

The bastard owes me that much in his death...

=I come to the scene, the number of Nightbane around the complex surprising me=

Well...this should be interesting...

=I walk up, only to be halted by a Nightbane officer=

Dawn murmured in her sleep, adjusting herself a bit but still fast asleep.

Nightbane: Stop right where you are blood sucker, this place is currently under lockdown.

=I get out of my car, quirking an eyebrow=

May I ask why?

Nightbane: We're just seizing evidence linking the resident to the murder of a werewolf a few days ago.

=I then pick my words carefully=

May I have the apartment when you are done with your seizure?

Nightbane: Sure...the apartment is still registered under your name after all, Mr...

Marivich...Anton Marivich.

Nightbane: Right. It's all yours after we're done.

Thank you for your time officer.

Nightbane: Don't mention it.

=I speed off, slightly pleased at the knowledge=

(Sofia)

=I get a memory flash, my mind flashing back to when I was near death in New Orleans=

She took everything I had worked YEARS for and took it away like an animal...And she just stood there and fucking watched as I lay dying at her feet...She could have killed me, but she let me suffer...

=I feel my face flush briefly with anger=

I'll never forget what she did to me...and I'll NEVER forgive her. Goddamnit Marshall...you self-centered prick...

=I sit on the edge of the bed, my face buried in my hands, my body shaking like a leaf=

Dawn rolled over, groaning as she started to wake up.
Sbe found no one beside her
"Sofie?" She asked groggily.

(Sofia)

=I hear Dawn's voice bring me out of my reverie=

Yes, Dawn?

=I turn my head around, bringing it out of my hands=

Blinking the sleep from her eyes, she scooted over to wrap her arms around Sofie's bare waist
"What time is it? And did you sleep well?"

(Sofia)

=I look at the clock on one of the walls of my apartment=

About 5:00 in the evening.

=I smile=

And yes...I slept well.

Dawn amiled, nuzzling Sofie's back. "Wow...we really spent awhile together." She laughed softly. "Hope you had fun."

(Sofia)

=I smile, giggling as well=

Indeed we did.

=I grin=

And I had a lot of fun, too.

"What"s for...dinner, I guess?" Dawn asked, keeping her arms around Sofie.

(Sofia)

That is a good question.

=I smile=

I'll go check the fridge and see what I have.

Dawn sat up, not releasing Sofie's waist. She kissed Sofie's neck.
"Alright." She said, releasing the other girl and drawing the sheets up to cover herself.

(Sofia)

=I feel a tickle race up my body as Dawn kisses me on the neck. I then get dressed a bit, minus my equipment and, head for the kitchen=

Let's see what I have for leftovers...

=I then open the fridge, picking out a couple of sandwiches that I made yesterday=

This should be good enough...

=I then get out a couple of clean plates setting up the table for two people, instead of the usual one for myself. I look to Dawn=

Supper's ready when you are.

Dawn had slipped her panties and shirt on before coming out.
She took a seat. "Heh. A feast?" She said jokingly. "Thanks."

(Sofia)

Not a problem. It's the best I could come up with.
