Nightfall: Chapter 3

"Plan B, I almost forgot about that."

I look over at Dawn.

"That does include you Dawn."

She sighs. "Fine."

I brushed the cuffs out a bit, looking myself over in my new outfit. Very modren, very stylish. Awful idea for a combat situation of course. A long double breasted jacket and rather comfortable chinos, with a simple black V-neck top beneath it. The nice black boots also added to the outfit, making it seem more casual than formal. The belt fitted with a holster and knife row was brilliant, albeit mostly empty other than two small knives.
"Hmm. Maybe he was a model, with fashion senses like this." I look at the boy, now dressed in nothing but his boxers and sigh, as the bum stands nearby, dressing in my old clothes. I patted down the pockets and went wide eyed a little as I felt the contents. I pulled them out in my hands, and smile.

A touch phone, with hundreds of contact numbers from both this kids social life and the Nightbane, a device fitted with a tracking system and a few trackers to accompany it, and the- "Keys!" I looked at them, two simple keys on them; one for a door, lord knows where, and one for a car. The keychain that connected the key had a nice H on it.
"H.. Hmm."
I click the button on the chain, and hear a sharp beep nearby. My lips curl up, as I head towards whatever car the Nightbane had prepared for me.

=i motion towards the door=
Okay, let's go.

I nod, heading out. It wouldn't take us that long to get to my parent's house, judging by how long it took to get to my apartement.

With a loud, fulfilling roar I turn down a few roads before screeching to a halt right outside the house, as I leap out laughing happily, looking back at the beautiful vehicle.
"A fucking Venom GT! Who would ever think I'd be driving one of these..." I stroke the hood and smile, licking my lips a little, looking back at the door as Seln and company head out.

"Oh, hey. I got some new clothes." I toss Seln a wallet I found in the car, smiling. "And some money to make up for the damages last night."

Well...this should get interesting...

=I follow them, letting my mind wander a bit=

=i catch the wallet, and check inside=
Wow, thanks. We're heading to Alex's parents' house to sort-of break the news. You can come with, I'm guessing, just gotta stay out of sight.

I nod, smiling, too happy to say no to anything right now. I get back in my car and smile, before thinking.
"How... how far away is it?"

"About a 20 minute walk, I guess."

I continued thinking of ways to break it to my parents.

Yeah, why not just walk. It's healthier. Don't worry about your car, it won't be damaged or stolen anytime soon. I've made sure this neighborhood is safe.

I look at my car and sigh, getting out. Already we're separated. I get up and stand by you guys, putting on the same sunnies the kid wore, feeling like a total badass in my new attire. "I'll be back Jenny. Hey calm down, you know I'd never leave you." I kiss the car and move to the group, smiling.

=i raise an eyebrow at Soren=
Talking to your car now?

=I roll my eyes=

That was immature...

=I check my own car, making sure it's locked=

Well, at least he gave me the keys back...

=I then nod, satisfied that my car wasn't going to get thieved=

I look at Seln and nudge his arm a little. "I have my reasons. Shut up." I say, looking to the car and smilig again.

=i sigh jokingly and shake my head=
Well, let's keep going. Alex, lead the way.

=i put my hands in my pockets and assume the "i'm just walking with friends" look=

I nod, heading in sort of the same direction I went in yesterday, as my parents' house wasn't that far away from my aparterment.

=i followed along with the others, smiling like I was enjoying a walk with friends=

I had to admit, walking with these guys was nice. Better than skulking in the shadows awaiting my next meal, that was for damn sure.
In my head, this was about the time my stomach would have rumbled as I let out a faint sigh. That kid wasn't as fulfilling as I thought...

=I take a sniff, and my eyes immediately glued onto Soren=

That's why I smelled blood...He just fed...

=I turn my head forward, then sigh and shake my head=

I lean against a apartment building admiring my nails. My eyes flicker up and watch as a group of people coming walking up the sidewalk. They look `normal` but I saw their true forms despite their smiles.

So there I was, training with Tony in Central Park. Practicing mixed marshal arts. We had been at it for hours. Sweat was soaking my clothes. I was so out of shape, despite having an increased metabolism. I wasn't used to prolonged activity. Student life sucked the life out of me, I had been practically a hermit during the semester. God knows I looked like one by the end.

We took a quick break, to run. So not really a break. We ran sprints, 100 meters back and forth, I nearly collapsed after the second run. Tony laughed at me. I may be a nut about studying fitness, but I was weak in practice. Tony knew this, that's why he laughed.

=I continue walking, my senses perking up for a second=

We're being watched...and whoever it is bodes ill...

=I continue on, but keep my senses alert, and then spot a figure right in front of us. My eyes then narrow=

Witch...We're being watched by a bloody witch...

=My hand nearly creeps toward my dagger=

=i whisper=
Anton, stop. Keep calm. They aren't doing anything, don't start anything right now.

=I nod to Seln and whisper back=

I know...but I just felt something, well...off.

=I continue walking=

And I don't intend to draw the attention of the Nightbane. Not at this hour.
