Nightfall: Chapter 4

The Nightbane probably already know. The shooters didn't act like gangs. Pros, dangerous, trained, only poorly equipped. But didn't care for civilians. Might be rogue NB. I need blood. I won't go anywhere otherwise.

(Anton)

=I nod my head=

I understand.

=I look around=

But we'll need to get out of there as soon as possible.

(S)
=i nod as much as I can=
I know. They don't know who I am yet, so they can't follow.

=the doctor walks in. I give a look to Anton and wait=

(Anton)

=I nod in silent understanding=

I'll do what I can.

=I pretend to head out of the room=

I'm sorry about this, doctor...

=I grab and put him into an armlock, getting his neck down to Seln's head=

I walk through the hospital, stopping at every nurse's station and ask for the right person. I walk by some weirdos in a room that where raping the doctor or something.

"Okay..."

I keep walking.

I blink, then strain my eyes as the world comes into focus. I see two men standing over me with a defibrillator, they shout something and lift me up onto a wheeled bed. My head rolls to the side and see the scared remains of the Bar, some body bags were also there.

"I..."

My eyes fade again.

(S)
=i bite down hard on the doctors neck, beginning to feed on his blood, his very lifeforce. I felt the blood drain into my stomach, and I could feel it's energy giving me new force. New vitality. I could feel my limbs knit themselves together, the bones reforming and the flesh repairing. My legs healed first, but the doctor was drained before my arms or chest could be fully healed=

I can walk, but everything else, is...barely ready. Get these casts off and help me leave. We get to my safehouse I can feed easier.

I do what I'm told and calm down. Breathing in and out heavily.
"Fine. But I am not meeting with this damn vampire. I'll leave that to you."

(Anton)

=I tear off the casts, breaking them as if they were nothing=

Alright then.

=I take him to my motorcycle, putting on my helmet as I ran=

Hope you like riding behind me, cause it's not going to be too comfortable back there.

=I start the motorcycle up, gunning engine as we sped off=

=i managed to stay on, just by keeping my balance as my arms can't move yet=
Not like I have a choice, so I'll manage.

=my voice sounds a bit better, less dry and raspy, but only because I recently fed, not because I was feeling any better=

(Anton)

=I nod=

Good.

=I head towards Seln's safehouse, gunning the engine=

Just try and hold on there...

(S)
=i lean forward, my arms hanging limply by my sides, leaning quickly into the turns as we go=
Careful. Police. Speed limit.

(Anton)

Duly noted.

=I keep an eye on the road, but my other senses on the crowded city around us=

But I think we're already attracting enough attention as it is.

(S)
We don't want more. Makes this escape pointless.

(Anton)

=I nod, weaving through the traffic, keeping my speed down=

Right...as if we don't have enough already

=I then get to the safehouse a few minutes later, having avoided some unwanted attention=

Here we are, my friend.

(S)
=i lean off the bike=
You will need to open door and such for me until I get another blood bag.

(Anton)

=I park the bike, looking around for anyone that might have followed. Seeing nothing, I hop off of the bike and head for the door, opening it for Seln, my helmet still on=

It's just out of caution...I'm sure you'd understand...

After you.

=I smile thinly=

Dawn groaned a bit, blinking awake. She found her cheek still had some debris from Sofie's...dessert. It was pretty enjoyable, really.
But the girl forgot to take off the stocking.
So Dawn lay there, thankfully under the covers, and then scooted over to nuzzle Sofie's cheek. "Can you untie me now? I do have to check in with work." She reminded.

Of course...you have a job to do.

=I smile and untie her, giving her a kiss on the forehead=

=I take off my helmet as I head in=

=I check my jacket a see a several bullet holes in it=

Damn...and I just got it out of the closet too...I should count myself lucky that I'm alive

=I breathe a sigh of relief, feeling lucky that I was still on my feet=

=i head into the kitchen, going to the fridge where I keep the blood packs=
You don't have to do this, you know.

I felt it as an obligation to help.

=I put on my helmet and leave a piece of paper with my number on it=

Call me if you need anything.

=I head out of the safehouse and climb onto my bike, gunning the engine and heading out=

(S)
=i watch him leave then work my fridge open. I grip the handle with my teeth and pull it open with a grunt of pain, getting my shoulder in the door to open it up wider. I pretty much just shove my face into the device, grabbing two or so bloodpacks in my teeth, then shoulder the door closed. I carry the packs over to my table and site down, setting them down on the edge and nudging them apart with my nose. I sit still for a second, taking stock of what needs to be fixed as well as letting the blood warm up a bit=

Dawn smiles, kissing Sofie's cheek. "I'll try."
She took a quick shower (she was covered in fruit juice, what did you expect from strawberries?) and dried off (and gave Sofie a small show, of it, just to mess with her) before getting her stuff and getting dressed.
Of course, once she headed for her bike, she found....
"Aspid GT-21 Invictus. Aww. Thanks Max."
Sliding in, she turned the car on. Oh that engine...
With some revving, she shot off happily.

=a few moments later, I dive down onto the packs with animalistic fury, sinking my teeth into the thin plastic that was keeping me from regeneration. Blood poured into my mouth, letting the tangy iron flavor wash down my throat, feeding my inner demon, letting it repair what was broken and mend what was torn. I could feel the effects as my bones shifted painfully back into place and my bruised and torn innards shifted and gurgled, reforming and reshaping back into perfect health. I drank down the last of the blood, and then all but pounced on the second pack, tearing into it and draining it's contents. My hands flexed and rippled, beginning to tear at the casts that held them still=
